City Planning Commission. pursuant to a resolution of intention by that
commision, and
WHEREAS, as a result of said hearinF, the Planning Cormilssi.

12..16,050 and 1 070 of tin e City of Yakima Municipal Code; and - n*,
City Counc il of tile 13Y of Yakima was not fied of the action of the
Planning Commi S Sion in accordance with the re quirernents of Section
76.060 of the (it, of Yakima Municipal Code, and
WHEREAS, .on April 23, 1962 the City Council held a public hearing
for the purpose of 1119,k g a decision. as to the approval or denial of•
the aforesaid ree OraMendation of the Planning Commission; and as a
result of said )hearing, the City Council finds that the approval of
such - ..I. - mendinents would be consistent with good plannin p! and in the best
interests of the peoT.de of the City of Yakima., now therefore,
DE TT ORDAINED BY THE cr OF YAKTMA:
Section 1, That Section 12.16„040 of the City of Yakima Municipal
Code is hereby amended to read as follows!:

(2) Reversed corner lots or parcels shall have the fo1 •
lowing side yards
(a) On the side of the reversed corner 10 or parcel,
the .side line of which adjoins another lot Or parcel, •
the side yard shall be the same as that required for
an interior lot.
(b) On the side street side of a reversed corner lot
or parcel, there shall ho a side yard of not less
than fifty (50) per cent of the front yard required
for said lot or parcel,"
Section 2. That Section 12.16,,050 of the City of Yakima Municipal

Code is hereby amended to read as followst
" 1216.050 AREA REGULATIONS - LOT. The minimum lot area
411 of a lot or parcel for a one-family dwelling in an R..2 zone
shall be seven thousand (7,000) square feet, except when
one dwelling unit is joined to another by a Common wall at
the property line, the minimum lot or parcel area for each-
unit shall be four thousand (4,000) square feet.," .
Seetion3, That Section 12.16.070 of the City of Yakima Municipal
Code is hereby amended to read as follows:-
• " 12016.070 AREA REGULATIONS - LOT WIDTH. Every lot or
parcel created after the effective date of this titleeshall
maintain a width of not less than sixty (GO) feet at the rear
of the reQuired front yard, except, when one dwelling unit
is joined to another by a'common wall at the property line
to form a two-family dwelling, the minimum lot width at the
rear of the required front yard shall be thirty (30) feet..
for each dwelling unit."
Section 4. This ordinance shall be in full force and effect 30
days after its final passage, approval and publication, as provided by
law and by the City Charter,
PASSED BY THE CITY COUNCIL, signed and approved this 23rd day of
