4 1 1 AN ORDINANCE relating to subdivision design requirements within the
City of Yakima, setting forth lot requirements, amending
Section 14.06.100 of the City of Yakima Municipal Code ?
and declaring an emergency.
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY OF YAKIMA:
Section 1. That Section 14.06.100 of the City of Yakima Municipal
Code is hereby.amended to read as follows:
" 14.06.100 LOTS. (a) The size shape and orientation
of lots shall be appropriate for the location of the pro-
posed subdivision and for the type of development contem-
plated, and shall comply with requirements as specified in
Title 12.
(b) Every lot shall abut on a publicly dedicated
street.
(e) Lots, except corner lots, should not have frontage
on two streets.
(d) Side lot lines should be approximately at right
angles to the right-of-way line of the str-et on which the
411 lot faces,
(e) Corner lots for residential use shall be platted
wider than interior lots, and shall conform to the front-
yard requirements on the side street as prescribed by the
zoning ordinance.
(f) Proposed plats, subdivisions, or dedications which
include lot layout to be used for commercial or retail pur-
poses shall comply with the requirements as specified in
Title 12."
Section,q. This ordinance is one to provide for the immediate
preservation of the public peace, property, health and safety of the
people of the City of Yakima, and an emergency is hereby declared to
exist, and this ordinance shall be in full force and effect immediately
upon its passage, approval and publication as provided by law and by
the City Charter.
PASSED BY THE CITY COUNCIL, signed and approved this 18th day of
June p 1962,
