0 AN ORDINANCE providing for the vacation of that portion of Madera Way
from. a point 129 feet East of Nortii 47th Avenue and West
of 47th Avenue through to 43th Avenu.e in the City of
Yal:in.a, Washington,
WHEREAS, a Petition has been filed with the City Council of the
City of Yakima providing for the vacation of the hereinafter de-
scribed property, and
WEEREA by resolution adopted by the City Council, a hearing on
said petition was set for the 2nd day of July, 1962, at the hour of
300 o'clock P.M., in the office of the City Council at the CityHall,
Yakima, Washington, and notices thereof were duly given in the manner
provided by statute and by the City Clerk of said City, and
WHEREAS, upon the hearing on said petition no objection was made
thereon or filed, and it being deemed for the best interests of the
4 1, City of Yakima that said petition be granted and said portion of said
street be vacated, now, therefore,
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY OF YAKIMA:
Section 1. That the following described portion of Madera Way
in the City of Yakima, Washingtori, to-wit:
That portion of Madera Way from a Point 129 feet East
of North 47th Avenue and West of 47th Avenue through
to 48th Avenue;

be, and the same is, hereby vacated.
Section 2, The City of Yakima hereby reserves all necessary
easements and rights-of-way for the installation an6. maintenance of
any and all water mains, sewers or utilities of any and all kinds
Which may now exist in said portion of Madera Way or which it may
hereafter desire to construct therein, and no building shall bc con-

strutted on any portion of said vac%,d street without the prior
41i approval of t:c., City.
Section 3 This ordinance shall be in full force and effect 30
days after its passage, approval and publication as provided by law
and by the City Charter.
PASSED BY THE CITY COUNCIL, signed and approved this 2nd day of
July, 1962,
