ORDINANCE NO. ,S3
• AN ORDINANCE accepting the recommendation Of the,Planning Commission
and rezoning certain property located at 516 North First
Street in the City of Yakima, Washington, from B-2,
Local Business Zone, to B General Business Zone.
WHEREAS, on the 16th day of July, 1962, at a regularly scheduled
meeting of the City Council, a hearing was had upon the recommenda-
tion of the Planning Commission that certain specified property in
the City of Yakima, to-wit:
Lot 8, Block 5, Town of North Yakima, now Yakima,
Washington, according to the plat thereof recorded
in Volume "A" of Plats, page 10, and re-recorded in
Volume "F" of Plats, page 50, and re-recorded in
Volume "E" of Plats, page 1, records of Yakima County,
Washington;
be rezoned from B-2, Local Business Zone, to B-3, General Business
Zone, and.
WHEREAS, the City Council finds that such recommendation of the
Planning Commission for such rezoning should be approved for the fol-
lowing reasons, to-wit: That such rezoning is in accord with good
planning and with the Comprehensive Plan of the City of Yakima; that
the majority of property owners in the vicinity do not oppose the
change in classification; that the needs of the City and community do
require such change; and that the highest and best use is for General
Business purposes, now, therefore,
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY OF YAKIMA:
Section 1. That the recommendation of the Planning Commission
of the City of Yakima that the following described real property
located at 516 North First Street in the City of Yakima, Washington,
and more particularly described as follows, to-wit:

Lot 8, Block 5, Town of North Yakima, now Yakima,
Washington, according to the Plat theiff recorded
in Volume "A." of Plats, page 10, and re-recorded in
Volume "F" of Plats, page 50, and re-recOrded, in
Volume "E" of Flats, page 1, records c Yakima County,
Washington;
be rezoned from B-2, Local Business Zone, to B-3, General Business
Zone, be, and the same is, hereby approved, and said real property is
hereby rezoned, to B-3, General Business Zone.
Section 2. The above change in zoning shall be included and de-
picted on the next regularly amended Use District Map prepared by and
for the said City.
Section 3. The City Clerk is hereby authorized and directed to
file with the Yakima County Auditor a certified copy of this ordi-
nance.
Section 4. This ordinance shall become effective thirty days
after its passage, approval and publication, as provided by law and

by the City Charter.
PASSED BY THE CITY COUNCIL, signed and approved this 16th day of
July, 1962.
