WHEREAS, on the 22nd day of October, 1962, the City Council of 0 the City of Yakima duly passed Ordinance No.,389 annexing to the City of Yakima certain property, described below, pursuant to Petition for Annexation No. 169, signed by John G. Fairbrook and others, and WHEREAS, pursuant to notice, the Planning Commission of the City of Yakima held a hearing and recommended that said property be zoned R-1, Single Family Residence Zone, and WHEREAS, pursuant to notice, the City Council of the City of Yakima held a hearing on the 26th day of November, 1962, upon such recommendation of the Planning Commission, and WHEREAS, the City Council finds that such recommendation for such zoning should be approved for the reason that it is in accord with good planning and with the Comprehensive Plan of the City of Yakima and that the highest and best use is for Single Family Resi- dence Zone purposes, now, therefore, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY OF YAKIMA: Section 1. That the recommendation of the Planning Commission of the City of Yakima that the following described real property newly annexed to the City of Yakima, to-wit: - Beginning at the Southwest corner of the Northeast Quarter of the Southwest Quarter of Section 22, Towship 13 North, Range 18, E.W.M.; thence East along the centerline of West Chestnut Street to the Westerly line of Summitview Homesites extended; thence North along the Westerly line of Summitview Homesites and the Westerly line of Summitview Homesites ex- tended to the centerline of Summitview Avenue; thence West along said centerline of Summitview Avenue to the Northwest corner of the Northeast Quarter of the Southwest Quarter of Section 22, Township 13 North, Range 18, E.W.M.; thence South along the West line of said subdivision to the point of beginning; be zoned R-1, Single Family Residence Zone, be, and the same is, 410 hereby approved and said real property is hereby zoned R•14 Single Family Residence Zone, Section 2. The above zoning shall be included and depicted on the next regularly amended Use District Map prepared by and for the said City. -1- Section 3. The City Clerk is hereby authorized and directed to file with the Yakima County Auditor a certified copy of this ordi- nance. Section 4• This ordinance shall become effective thirty days 0 after its passage, approval and publication, as provided by law and, by the City Charter.
