AN ORDINANCE accepting the recommendation of the Planning Commission and rezoning certain property located at 502-504 North • Second Street in the City of Yakima, Washington, from. R-3, Multiple Family Residence Zone, to B-1, Modified ' Business Zone. 4Ik WHEREAS, pursuant to due and legal notice, the City Council of the City of Yakima held a hearing on the 26th day of November, 1962, upon the recommendation of the*Planning Commission that certain specified property in the City of Yakima, to-wit: Lots 1 and 2, Block 25, Town of North Yakima, now Yakima, Washington, according to the plat thereof recorded in Volume "A" of Plats, page 10, and re-recorded in Volume "B" of Plats, page 1, records of Yakima County, Washington; be rezoned from R-3, Multiple Family Residence Zone, to B-1, Modified Business Zone, and WHEREAS, the City Council finds that such recommendation•of the Planning Commission for such rezoning should be approved for the fol- lowing reasons, to-wit: That such rezoning is in accord with good planning and with the Comprehensive Plan of the City of Yakima; that the majority of property owners in the vicinity do not oppose the 41 / change in classification; that the needs of the City and community do require such change; and that the highest and best use is for Nodifiec Business purposes, now, therefore, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY OF YAKIMA: Section 1. That the recommendation of the Planning Commission of the City of Yakima that the following described real property located at 502-504 'North Second Street in the City Of Yakima, Wash- ington, and more patiCularly described as follows, to-wit: Lots 1 and 2, Block 25, Town of North Yakima, now Yakima, Washington according to the plat thereof recorded in Volume "A" of Plats, page 10, and re-recorded in Volume "B" of Plats, page 1, records of Yakima County Washington; be rezoned from R-3, Multiple Family Residence Zone, to B-1, Modified Business Zone, be, and the same is, hereby apProved•and said real ipp property is hereby rezoned to B-1, Modified Business Zone, Section 2. The above change in zoning shall be included and depicted on the next regularly amended. Use District Map prepared by and for the'said City. -1- 4 . Section 3. The City Clerk is hereby authorized and directed to file with the Yakima County Auditor a certified copy of this ordi- nance. Section 4. This ordinance shall become effective thirty days after its passage, approval and publication, as provided by law and 110 by the City Charter.
