AN ORDINANCE providing for the vacation of the West 20 feet of the •
North 145 feet of Block 2, Shannon Homes Addition to the
City of Yakima, according the plat thereof recorded
in Volume "H" of plats, page 31, recordsof Yakima
County, Washington.
WHEREAS, a petition has been filed with the City Council of the
III .City of Yakima providing for the vacation of the hereinafter de-
scribed street, and
WHEREAS, by resolution adopted by the City Council, a hearing
on said petition was set for the 17th day of December, 1962, at the
hour of 8:00 o'clock p.m., in the Council Chambers of the City of
Yakima, at the City Hall in Yakima, Yakima County, Washington, and
notices thereof were duly given in the manner provided by 'law, and
WHEREAS, upon the hearing . on said petition and vacation, no
objection was made thereof or filed, and the City Council finding it
to be in the best interests of the City of Yakima that said street
be vacated, now, therefore,
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY OF YAKIMA:
Section 1. That the following described street in the City of
Yakima, Washington, to-wit:
The West 20 feet of the North 145 feet of Block 2,
Shannon Homes Addition to the City of Yakima, according
to the plat thereof recorded in Volume "H" of Plats,
page 31, records of Yakima County, Washington;
be, and the same is hereby, vacated.
Section 2. The City of Yakima hereby reserves all necessary
easements and rights-of-way for the installation and maintenance of
any and all water mains, sewers or utilities of any and all kinds
which may now exist in said street or which it may hereafter desire
to construct therein, and no building shall be constructed on any
portion of said vacated street without the prior approval of the
City.
Section 3. This ordinance shall be in full force and effect 30
0 0- days after its final passage, approval and publication as provided
law and by the City Charter.
PASSED BY THE CITY COUNCIL, signed and approved this 17th day of
December, 1962.
