AN ORDINANCE providing for the annexation by the City of Yakima of
certain property contigaous to the City of Yakima, and
zoning the same as M-1, Li6ht Industrial Zone.
WHEREAS, proceedings have been had in accordance with Chapter 120
of the Laws of 19145, as amended, and Chapter 282 of the Laws of 1961
41 for the annexation of the property hereinafter described, and
WHEREAS, at a regularly scheduled meeting of the Planning Com-
mission of the City of Yakima, a hearing was had pursuant to legal
notice, upon the zoning and land use classification of said property
hereinafter described and annexed, and.
WHEREAS, said Planning Commission duly recommended that said
property be annexed to the City of Yakima and that all of said prop-
erty be zoned at the time of such annexation as M-1, Light Industrial
Zone, and
WHEREAS, said proposed area to be annexed to the City of Yakima
is less than tan acres in area and less than $200,000.00 in assessed
valuation, and
WHEREAS, in accordance with the provisions of Chapter 282, Laws
of 1961, the Mayor of the City of Yakima, the Chairman of the Board of
County Commissioners of Yakima County, and the County Superintendent
of Schools of Yakima County have all been apprised of the petition and
have all agreed that a review proceeding as provided in said Chapter
282 is not necessary for the protection of the interests of the vari-
ous parties, and that such review procedures should be dispensed with,
and
WHEREAS, pursuant to due and legal notice as provided by law and
City Charter, a public hearing was had upon said petition for annena-
tion before the City Council of tho City of Yakima on the 14th day of
January, 1963, and
WHEREAS, the City Council finds that such property shoeild be an-
• nexed to the City of Yakima and further finds that the recommendation
of the Planning Comission for the zoning and land use classification
of said property should be approved for the reasons that such zoning
and classification are in accord with good planning and with the
Comprehensive Plan of the City of Yakima, that the majority of the
property owners in the vicinity are in favor of the zoning classifica-

tion and the annexation, that the nceds of the City and community do
require the hereinafter set forth zoning class:l.firation and that the
highest and best use for said property is as hereinafer determined,
now, therefore,
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE C.= OF YAKIMA:
410 Section 1. That the following described property contiguous Lo
th e City of Yakima, Washington, to-wit
BeginnAng at the intersection of the center line of East
Lenox Avenue and the East right-of-way line of Primary State
Highway No. 3 (South First Street); thence West along the
center line of East Lenox Avenue to the West line extended
of TeLt 36, St. Paul Acre Lots; thence South along said ex-
tended West line 30 feet; thence East and parallel with the
cericer line of East Lenox Avenue 64.8 feet; thence South and
parallel with the West line of Lot 36, St. Paul Acre Lots,
:L32 feet, more or less, to the South line of said Lot 36;
thence East elong •said South line 40.4 feet; thence North
and parallel ii_th the West line of said Lot 36, 57 feet,
thence Fast and parallel with the center line of East Lenox
Avenue to Lne Fast right-of-way line of Primary State High-
way No. 3; thence Northwesterly along said East right-of-way
line to the point of beginning;
