AN ORDINANCE accepting the recommendation of the Planning Commission
and rezoning certain property located at 1217 and 1218
West Lincoln Avenue in the City of Yakima, Washington,
from R-3, Multiple Phmily Residence Zone, to B-3,
General Business Zone.
, pursuant to due and legal notice, the Qty Council of the
City of Yakima held a hearing on the 8th day of April, 1963, upon the
recommendation of the Planning Commission that certain specified property
in the Qty of Yakima, to-wit
Lots 8, 9 and 10, Block 13, and Lots 11 and 12, Block 12,
Tennent & Miles Modern Addition, according to the plat thereof
on file and of record in the office of the Cbunty Auditor of
Yakima County, Washington;
be rezoned from R-3, Multiple Family Residence Zone, to B-3, General
Business Zone, and
WHEREAS, the Qty Council finds that such recommendation of the
Planning QDrnmission for such rezoning should be approved for the reasons
that such rezoning is in accord with good planning and with the Cbmpre-
• hensive Flan of the Qty of Yakima; that the majority of property owners in
the vicinity do not oppose the change in classification; that the needs of the
City and community do require such change; and that the highest and best
use is for General Business purposes, now, therefore,
BE IT OR1DAINFD BY THE CITY OF YAKIMA:
Section 1. That the recommendation of the Banning Cbmmission of the
City of Yakima that the following described real property located at 1217
and 1 218 West Lincoln Avenue in the City of Yakima, Washington, and more
particularly described as follows, to-wit:
Lots 8, 9 and 10, Block 13, and Lots 11 and 12, Block 12,
Tennent & Miles Modern Addition, according to the plat thereof
on file and of record in the office of the County Auditor of
Yakima Cbunty, Washington;
be rezoned from R-3, Multiple Eihmily Residence Zone, to B-3, General
Business Zone, be, and the same is hereby, approved and said real prop-
erty is hereby rezoned to B-3, General Business Zone.
Section 2. The above change in zoning shall be included and depicted
on the next regularly amended Use District Map prepared by and for the
City„

Section 3. The City Clerk is hereby authorized and directed to file
with the Yakima Cbunty Auditor a certified copy of this ordinance.
Section 4. This ordinance shall become effective thirty days after its
passage, approval and publication, as provided by law and by the City
Charter.
PASSED BY THE CITY COUNCIL signed and approved this 8th
day of April, 1963.
