AN ORDINANCE accepting the recommendation of the Planning Commission
and rezoning certain property located at 1105 to 1304
Lincoln Avenue in the City of Yakima, Washington, from
R_3, Multiple Family Residence Zone, to B-3, General
Business Zone.
WHEREAS, pursuant to due and legal notice, the City Council of the
City of Yakima held a hearing on the 22nd day of April, 1963, upon the
recommendation of the Planning Commission that certain specified prop-
erty in the City of Yakima, to-wit:
Lots 11 through 17, Block 2; Lots 3 through 10, Block 3;
Lots 13 through 20, Block 12; Lots 1 through 7, Block 13;
and Lots 19 and 20, Block 22, all in Tennent & Miles
Modern Addition to Yakima, according to the plat thereof
on file and of record in the office of the County Auditor
of Yakima County, Washington;
be rezoned from R_3, Multiple Family Residence Zone, to B-3, General
Business Zone, and
WHEREAS, the City Council finds that such recommendation of the
Planning Commission for such rezoning should be approved for the rea-
sons that such rezoning is in accord with good planning and with the
Comprehensive Plan of the City of Yakima; that the majority of prop-
erty owners in the vicinity do not oppose the change in classification;
that the needs of the City and community do require such change; and
that the highest and best use is for General Business purposes, now,
therefore,
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY OF YAKIMA:
Section 1. That the recommendation of the Planning Commission of
the City of Yakima that the following described real property located
at 1105 to 1304 Lincoln Avenue in the City of Yakima, Washington, more
particularly described as follows, to-wit:
Lots 11 through 17, Block 2; Lots 3 through 10, Block 3;
Lots 13 through 20, Block 12; Lots 1 through 7, Block 13;
and Lots 19 and 20, Block 22, all in Tennent & Miles
Modern Addition to Yakima, according to the plat thereof
on file and of record in the office of the County Auditor
of Yakima County, Washington;
0 be rezoned from R-3, Multiple Family Residence Zone, to B-3, General
Business Zone, be, and the same is hereby, approved and said real
property is hereby rezoned to B-3, General Business Zone.
Section 2. The above change in zoning shall be included and de-
picted on the next regularly amended Use District Map prepared by and
for the City.

Section 3. The City Clerk is hereby authorized and directed to
file with the Yakima County Auditor a certified copy of this ordinance.
Section 4. This ordinance shall become effective thirty days
after its passage, approval and publication, as provided by law and by
the City Charter.
PASSED BY THE CITY COUNCIL, signed and approved this 22nd day of
April, 1963.
