AN ORDINANCE accepting the recommendation of the Planning Commission and rezoning certain property located at 316 North 3rd Street in the City of Yakima, Washington, from B-2, Local Business Zone, to B-3, General Business Zone. . • WHEREAS, pursuant to due and legal notice, the City Council of the 4 1 1 : City of Yakima held a hearing on the 22nd day of April, 1963, upon the recommendation of the Planning Commission that certain specified prop- erty in the City of Yakima, to-Wit: Lot 8 and the North Half of Lot 7, Block 47, Town of North Yakima, now Yakima, Washington, according to the plat thereof on file and of record in the office of the County Auditor of Yakima County, Washington; be rezoned from B-2, Local Business Zone, to B-3, General Business Zone; and WHEREAS, the City Council finds that such recommendation of the Planning Commission for such rezoning should be approved for the rea- sons that such rezoning is in accord with good planning and with the - Comprehensive Plan of the City of Yakima; that the majority of property owners in the vicinity do not oppose the change in classification; that • the needs of the City and community do require such change; and that the highest and best use is for General Business purposes, now, there- , fore, . BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY OF YAKIMA: Section 1. That, the recommendation of the Planning Commission of „:theHCity of Yakima that the following described real property located at 316 North 3rd Street in the City of Yakima, Washington, and more particularly described as follows, to-wit: Lot 8 and the North Half of Lot 7, Block 47, Town of North Yakima, now Yakima, Washington, according to the plat thereof on file and of record in the office of the County Auditor' of Yakima County, Washington; be rezoned from B-2, Local Business Zone, to B-3, General Business Zone, be, and the same is hereby, approved and said real property is 411 hereby rezoned to B-3, General Business Zone. Section 2. The above change in zoning shall be included and de_ picted on the next regularly amended Use District Map prepared by and for the City. Section 3. The City Clerk is hereby authorized and directed to file with the Yakima County Auditor a certified copy of this ordinance. -1- 1 Section 4. This ordinance shall become effective thirty days after its passage, approval and publication, as provided by law and by the City Charter.
