AN ORDINANCE relating to traffic regulations; regulating turning of
moC or vonicles:, prohibiting parking along certain streets;
afendirn Sections 9.28.14r5(b) and 9.36.070 of the City of
Yakiwa Municipal Code; and declaring an emergency.
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY OF YAKIMA:
Section 1. That Section 9.28.11.0(b) of the City of Yakima Municipal
Coda is harel:T awended to read as follows:

turn about in the opposite direction upon any street at any
Diace other than at a street intersection or street end, e'tcept
that in .districts other than the Central District as herein

vehicle shall exercise a caution and yield the right -of

Section 2. That Section 9.36,070 of the City of Yakima Municipal

Code is hereby amended to read as follows :
9,36.070 APDiTIONAL PARKING RPSTRICTTONS. The operator of
a vehicle shall not stop, park or angle park such a vehicle on
that part of the following natneel stroets and avenues as here-
inafter indicated:
Both sides of East "C" Street from North Front Street to
North First Steet.
The South side of Sumoitview Avenue from Sixteenth Avenue to
Seventeenth Avenue.
The South side of West Yakima Avenue from Twelfth Avenue to
Sixteenth Avenue.
• Both sides of Wes ChestnPt Street from Sixteent'n. Avenue to
• Twentieth Avenue.
The South side of West Chestnut Street from Sixth Avenue -to
410 Seventh Avenue.

Both sides of East Yakima Avenue from Front Street to Railroad
Tracks.
111 Both sides of East Yakima Avenue from Eighth Street to Ninth
Street.
Both sides of West Yakima Avenue from Sixteenth Avenue to
Twenty-Second Avenue.
Both sides of West Walnut Street from Sixth Avenue to Eleventh
Avenue.
Both sides of East Walnut Street from the Alley between South
Front Street aud South First Street to the Alley be South
First Street and South Second Street.
Both sides of First Si . reet from Station 94+90 to Station
102+80 and from Station 108-1-60 to the South Corporate Limits.
Both sides of Third Street for a distance of one hundred feet
north of the north property line of Washington Street.
Both sides of Washington Street for a distance of approximately
one hundred feet east of the East property line of Third Street
and fcr a distance of approximately one hundred feet west of the
West property line of First Street.
Both sides of South Third Street from the intersection of
411 South Second Street with Washington Street.
The North side of Spruce Street from Holton Avenue to South
Twelfth Avenue.
Both sides of South First Street from Pacific Street to Lenox
Avenue.
Section 3. This ordinance is one to provide for the immediate
preservation of the public peace, property, health and safety of the
pe,ople of the City of Yakima and an emergency is hereby declared to
exist, and this ordinance shall be in full force and effect immediately
upon its passage approval and publication, as provided by law and by
the City Charter.
PASSED BY THE CITY COUNCIL signed. and approved this 1st day of
July, 1963.
