AN ORDINANCE accepting the recommendation of the Planning Commission
to rezone certain property located at 201 through 215
South llth Avenue in the City of Yakima, Washington,
from R-3, Multiple-Family Zone, to B-1, Modified Business
Zone.
WHEREAS, pursuant to due and legal notice, the City Council of
the City of Yakima called a hearing for the 22nd day of June, 1964,
which hearing was continued to and held on the 29th day of June, 1964,
upon the recommendation of the Planning Commission that real property
located at 201 through 215 South llth Avenue, within the City of
Yakima, Washington, the legal description of which is set out herein-
below, be rezoned from R-3, Multiple-Family Zone, to B-1, Modified
Business Zone, and
WHEREAS, the City Council finds that such recommendation of the
Planning Commission for such rezoning should be approved for the
reasons that such rezoning is in accord with good planning and with
the Comprehensive Plan of the City of Yakima; that the majority of
property owners in the vicinity do not oppose the change in classi-
41, fication; that the needs of the City and community do require such
change; and that the highest and best use of said property is for
modified business purposes, now, therefore,
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY OF YAKIMA:
Section 1. That the recommendation of the Planning Commission
of the City of Yakima that the following described real property
located at 201 through 215 South llth Avenue, within the City of
Yakima, Washington, and more particularly described as follows,
to-wit:
Lots 9 through 16 Block 393 Capitol Addition and Bedker's
Addition to North Yakima, now Yakima, Washington, according
to the plat thereof recorded in Volume A of Plats, pages 29
and 141, records of Yakima County, Washington,
be approved, and that said property be rezoned from R-3, Multiple-
", Family Zone, to B-1, Modified Business Zone.
Section 2. The above change in zoning shall be included and
depicted on the next regularly amended Use District Map prepared by
and for the City.
Section 3. The City Clerk is hereby authorized and directed to
file with the Yakima County Auditor a cei'lified copy of this Ordi-
nance.
Section 4. This Ordinance shall be in full force and effect
thirty days after its passage, approval and publication as provided
by law and by the City Charter.
PASSED BY THE CITY COUNCIL, signed and approved this 29th day of
June, 1964.
