ORDINANCE NO.
AN ORDINANCE accepting the recommendation of the Planning Commission
and rezoning property situated on the South side of
Lenox Avenue between Pleasant Avenue and 12th Avenue in
the City of Yakima from B-2, Local Business Zone, to
B-3, General Business Zone.
WHEREAS, pursuant to due and legal notice, the City Council of the
City of Yakima held a hearing on the / 1 day of ' I 1964
upon the recommendation of the Planning Commission that eal property
situated on the South side of Lenox Avenue between Pleasant Avenue
and 12th Avenue, within the City of Yakima, Washington, the legal de-
scription of which is set out hereinbelow, be rezoned from B-2, Local
Business Zone, to B-3, General Business Zone, and
• WHEREAS, the City Council finds that such recommendation of the
Planning Commission should be approved for the reasons that such re-
zoning is in accordance with good planning and with the Comprehensive
Plan of the City of Yakima; that the majority of property owners in
the vicinity do not oppose the change in classification; that the
411 needs of the city and community do require such change and that the
highest and best use of said property is for general business pur-
poses, now, therefore,
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY OF YAKIMA:
Section I. That the recommendation of the Planning Commission of
the City of Yakima that the following described real property situated
on the South side of Lenox Avenue between Pleasant Avenue and 12th
Avenue in the City of Yakima, Washington, and more particularly
described as follows, to-wit:
PARCEL I:
The West 100 feet of the East 200.8 feet of the South 138
feet of the North 158 feet of Tract 17, Plat No. 2 of the
Ontario Land Company's Garden Lots, except the South 10
feet thereof, according to the Plat thereof, recorded in
ill Volume A of Plats, Page 122, records of Yakima County,
Washington.
PARCEL 2:
The North 158 feet of the West 50 feet of the East 250.8
feet of Tract 17, Plat No. 2 of the Ontario Land Company's
Garden Lots, except the North 20 feet thereof, according
to the Plat thereof, recorded in Volume A of Plats, Page
122, records of Yakima County, Washington.

PARCEL 3:
The North 158 feet of the West 62.7 feet of the East 313.5
feet of Tract 17, Plat No. 2 of the Ontario Land Company's
Garden Lots, except the South 15 feet thereof, according
to the plat thereof, recorded in Volume A of Plats, Page
122, records of Yakima County, Washington;
be approved and that said property be rezoned from B-2, Local Business
Zone to B-3, General Business Zone, be, and the same is hereby,
III approved and said real property is hereby rezoned, to B-3, General
Business Zone.
Section 2. The above change in zoning shall be included and
depicted on the next regularly amended Use District Map prepared by
and for the City.
Section 3. The City Clerk is hereby authorized and directed to
file with the Yakima County Auditor a certified copy of this Ordinance.
Section 4. This Ordinance shall be in full force and effect
thirty days after its passage, approval and publication as provided
by law and by the City Charter.
