AN ORDINANCE accepting the recommendation of the Planning Commission
and rezoning certain property located at 1812 Nob Hill
Boulevard in the City of Yakima, Washington, from B-2,
Local Business Zone, to R-3, Multiple-Family Zone'.
WHEREAS, pursuant to due and legal notice, the City Council of
the City of Yakima held a hearing on the 3Ist day of August, 1964,
upon the recommendation of the Planning Commission that real property
located at 1812 Nob Hill Boulevard, within the City of Yakima, Washing-
ton, the legal description of which is set out hereinbelow, be rezoned
from B-2, Local Business Zone, to R-3, Multiple-Family Zone, and
WHEREAS, the City Council finds that such recommendation of the
Planning Commission for such rezoning should be approved for the
reasons that such rezoning is in accord with good planning and with
the Comprehensive Plan of the City of Yakima; that the majority of
property owners in the vicinity do not oppose the change in classifi-
cation; that the needs of the City and community do require such change
and that the highest and best use of said property is for multiple
family residence purposes, now, therefore,
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY OF YAKIMA:
Section I. That the recommendation of the Planning Commission
of the City of Yakima that the following described real property
located at 1812 Nob Hill Boulevard in the City of Yakima, Washington,
and more particularly described as follows, to-wit:
The North 192.76 feet of the West 120.50 feet of the
East 669.65 feet of the Northeast quarter of the South-
east quarter of Section 26, Township 13 North, Range 18,
E. W. M., in Yakima County, Washington, except the North
25.86 feet of the West 10 feet;
be approved and that said property be rezoned from B-2, Local Business
Zone, to R-3, Multiple-Family Zone, be, and the same is hereby, approve
and said real property is hereby rezoned, to R-3, Multiple-Fam;ly Zone.
Section 2. The above change in zoning shall be included and
depicted on the next regularly amended Use District Map prepared by
and for the City.
Section 3. The City Clerk is hereby authorized and directed to
file with the Yakima County Auditor a certified copy of this Ordinance.
' Section 4. This Ordinance shall be in full force and effect thir-
ty days after its passage, approval and publication as provided by law
and by the City Charter.
PASSED BY THE CITY COUNCIL, signed and approved this 31st day of
August, 1964.
