AN ORDINANCE providing for the vacation of a public street in the City
of Yakima, Washington.
WHEREAS, a petition has been filed with the City Council of the
City of Yakima providing for the vacation of the hereinafter described
property, and
WHEREAS, by resolution adopted by the City Council, a hearing on
said petition was set,for the 28th day of September, 1964, at the hour
of 3:00 o'clock P.M., in the office of the City Council at the City
Hall, Yakima, Washington, and notices thereof were duly given in the
manner provided by statute and by the City Clerk of said City, and
WHEREAS, upon the hearing on said petition no objection was made
thereon or filed, and it being deemed for the best interests of the
City of Yakima that said petition be granted and said portion of said
street be vacated, now, therefore,
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY OF. YAKIMA:
111 Section 1. That the following described street in the City of
Yakima, Washington, to-wit:
The South 10 feet of the North 30 feet of the North Half
of th'e Northeast Quarter of the Southwest Quarter of the
Northeast Quarter of Section 27, Township 13 North, Range
18, E.W.M., in the City of Yakima, Yakima County, Washing-
ton, except rights of way for South 36th Avenue and South
38th Avenue;
be, and the same is, hereby vacated.
Section 2. This Ordinance is one to provide for the immediate
preservation of the public peace, property, health, safety and welfare
of the people of the City of Yakima and an emergency is hereby declared
to exist and this Ordinance shall be in full force and effect immediate-
ly upon its passage, approval and publication as provided by law and
410 by the City Charter.
PASSED BY THE CITY COUNCIL, signed and approved this 28th day of
September, 1964.
