AN ORDINANCE establishing basic salaries for employees of the Yakima Fire Department,
repealing all ordinances or parts of ordinances in conflict therewith -
and declaring an emergency.
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY OF YAKIMA:
Section 1. The following positions of the Yakima Fire Department are
hereby classified as executive, administrative and/or professional employees and shall
0 be paid in accordance with the applicable salary contained in the annual budget for
such positions: Chief, Assistant Chief, Battalion Chief, Fire Marshall, Captain,
Lieutenant, Alarm Superintendent.
Section 2. The following shall constitute the basic salary schedule for
the position classification for all employees of the Yakima Fire Department, exclusive
of executive, administrative, and/or professional employees:

The basic salaries hereinabove constituted are exclusive of any longevity pay or
other benefits as may now or hereafter become due any individual employee by law or
ordinance.
Section 3. All ordinances or parts of ordinances in conflict therewith
are hereby repealed.
Section 4. This ordinance is necessary for the immediate preservation
of the public peace, health, welfare and safety and an emergency is hereby declared
to exist and this ordinance shall be in effect immediately upon its passage, approval
and publication as provided by law and the City Charter.
