ITEM TITLE: Resolution authorizing an extension to Professional Services
Agreement with Lisa Wallace Consulting, LLC (Police Grants)

SUMMARY EXPLANATION:
Resolution to approve an extension of professional services agreement with Lisa Wallace Consulting,
LLC for coordinator services for the Office of Violence Against Women Firearms Technical Assistance
Pilot Project Grant for the Yakima Police Department.

RESOLUTION NO. R-2026-
A RESOLUTION authorizing an Extension to the Professional Services Agreement with
Lisa Wallace Consulting, LLC for Coordinator Services of the Office of
Violence Against Women Firearms Technical Assistance Pilot Project
Grant (OVW FTAP Grant) for the Yakima Police Department.
WHEREAS, on September 19, 2023, the City entered into an agreement (No. 2023-165)
with Lisa Wallace Consulting, LLC for the project management for the funding awarded for the
OVW FTAP Grant which expires October 2026; and
WHEREAS, the City accepted an amendment to original grant for OVFW FTAP project
period extension through December 31, 2026 (R-2026-126), and has applied for funding renewal
of said pilot project which may extend the funding two additional years to the end of 2028 meriting
a need to extend agreement with Lisa Wallace Consulting, LLC; and,
WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Yakima finds it to be in the best interests of the
City to enter into agreement extending contract 2023-165 between the City of Yakima and Lisa
Wallace Consulting, LLC, now, therefore,
BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF YAKIMA:
The City Manager is hereby authorized to execute the Professional Services Extension
Agreement with Lisa Wallace, LLC, attached hereto and incorporated herein by this reference, to
serve as the Office on Violence Against Women Firearms Technical Assistance Project Site
Coordinator through October 2028.
ADOPTED BY THE CITY COUNCIL this 6th day of October, 2026.

EXTENSION OF CONTRACT 2023-165
BETWEEN
THE CITY OF YAKIMA
AND
LISA WALLACE CONSULTING, LLC
This Extension of the existing contract No. 2023-165 entitled Professional Services
Agreement and entered into on September 20, 2023 (hereafter the "Contract") with Lisa Wallace
Consulting, LLC (hereafter "Contractor") is between the City of Yakima (hereafter the "City") and
Contractor.
WHEREAS, the City entered into City Contract No. 2023-165 per Resolution 2023-131
with Contractor for the purpose of Office on Violence Against Women Firearms Technical
Assistance Pilot Project Grant Coordinator Services; and
WHEREAS, the original term of said Contract currently terminates October 31, 2026; and,
WHEREAS, the City has accepted grant and amendment for said project which currently
expires December 31, 2026; and
WHEREAS, the parties want the existing contract to remain in effect during the pendency
of grant funding renewal for two more years of funding; and
WHEREAS, both parties agree that a contract extension would be mutually beneficial,
now, therefore,
Now, therefore, the City and Contractor agree to the following contract extension of the
existing Contract, under the conditions set forth:
Section B of the Professional Services Agreement between the City of Yakima and Lisa
Wallace Consulting, LLC, Contract 2023-165, is hereby amended to extend the term for
approximately twenty-five months through October 31, 2028.
Except as expressly modified herein, all other terms and conditions of the above-
referenced Contract No. 2023-165 between the City of Yakima and Lisa Wallace Consulting, LLC
shall remain in full force and effect.
