ITEM TITLE: Project Completion and Acceptance for Unit-Price Electrical Services,
Bid 12126S

SUMMARY EXPLANATION:
The City issued Bid 12126S, Unit-Price Electrical Services, to establish contracts for on-call electrical
services as needed by the City. Contracts were awarded to Core Northwest LLC., for low-voltage
electrical services and to Knobel's Electric Inc., for high-voltage electrical services. The contracts were
established for a four-year term with a combined not-to-exceed amount of$250,000.
Both contracts were cancelled in October of 2025 after the combined not-to-exceed contract amount was
reached. All work authorized under contracts has been completed, and the Purchasing Division
recommends that the project be accepted and closed out.
Final project closeout is subject to authorization from state agencies allowing release of retainage for
final payment.
Retainage amounts due are as follows:
Core Northwest LLC: $4,233.76
Knobel's Electric Inc: $1,476.45
City Council action is required to formally accept the project as complete and approve the release of
retainage for final payment.
ITEM BUDGETED: Yes
STRATEGIC PRIORITY 24-25: A Safe and Healthy Yakima
RECOMMENDATION: Accept the project as complete.

This Certificate of Final Acceptance applies to all work under the Contract for the Project referenced
above. The CITY has completed final inspection of the Work and is satisfied that the Work has been
completed in accordance with the Contract. The Work is declared to be completed in full on the Final
Acceptance Date referenced above.
Release of retainage in the amount of$4,233.76 will be processed following Yakima City Council approval
at its general meeting on October 6,2026,and release from Department Labor and Industries, Department
of Employment Security,and Department of Revenue.
