Education Choice Tax Relief: Urge Gov. Ferguson to opt Washington into the federal Education Choice Tax Credit program. Circulate a legislator sign -on letter and pursue available mechanisms to force a vote, if necessary 2. "Water Safe Kids Act" (working title): Allow cities with high child -poverty rates and no parks district to use eligible non -General Fund revenues for public -pool operating costs. This will help many more communities than just Yakima City. 3. Youth Grant Accountability: Establish statewide grant scoring that substantially prioritizes (gives bonus points to) measurable literacy gains and gives less weight (negative points) to primarily passive/recreational screen use, while exempting legitimate STEM programs.
