AN ORDINANCE amending Section 700 and adding paragraphs 29, 30
and 31 to Section 800 of Ordinance No. B-2095, the
same being an ordinance establishing zones in the
• City of Yakima; regulating and limiting the use of
buildings and land; establishing uee height, area
and off-street parking regulations; providing for
yards, courts and other open spaces, providing for
the adoption of mape showing the boundaries of
said zones; providing for a Board of Adjustment;
providing for the administration end enforcement
of this ordinance, and fixing penalties for the
violation its provisions.
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY OF YAKIMA;
Section 1. That Section 791 of Ordinance No. B-2095 is
hereby amended to read as follows:
Section 700 LAND USE. In a B - 1 Zone, no building
shall be erected, reconstructed or structurally altered
nor shall any building or land be used for any purpose
except as hereinafter specifically •provided and
allowed by this Article, subject to the provisions of
Article 14 governing off-street parking requirements.
In a B-1 Zone, the following uses only are permitted:
1. Multiple family dwellinge and apartment houses.
2. Medical and Dental clinics, including establish-
ments dispensing pharmaceutical and optical
prescriptions only.
3. Prefessional office buildings for use of archi-
tects, accountants, engineers and lawyers.
4. Kindergartens and nursery schools.
5 Churches, provided they meet the requirements
and standards as specified for the same use in
an R-1 Zone.
6. Swimming pools, provided they meet the require-
ments and standards as specified for the same
use in an R-1 Zone.
7. Special property uses specifically allowed in
a Zone.
Section 2. That there are hereby added new paragraphs
number 29, 30 and 31 to Section 600 of Ordinance Ho. 3-2095 which
shall read as follows:
Section 800: LAND USE.
29. Administrative office buildings.
30. Real estate and insurance offices.
31. Federal and State Banks, and Savings and Loan
Associations.
Section 3. This Ordinance shall be in full force and effect
thirty (30) days from and after its final passage, approval and
publication, as provided by law and the City Charter.
