AN ORDINANCE accepting the recommendation of the Planning Com-
mission for the rezone of certain property in the
vicinity of Sunset Avenue and Crescent Drive.
WHEREAS, on . ,,(A,Kg . 1959, at a regularly
scheduled meeting of the City Council, a hearing was had upon the
recommendation of the Planning Commission that certain specified
property in the City of Yakima, to-wit%
Lot 21, Harland Addition.
be rezoned from R-2, Two Family Residential to R-3, Multiple
Family Residential, and
WHEREAS, the City Council finds that auch recommendation
of the Planning Commissiom for such rezoning should be approved
for the following reasons, to-wit: That such rezoning is in
accord with good planning and with the Comprehensive Plan of the
City of Yakima; that the majority of property owners in the
vicinity do not oppose the change in classification; that the
needs of the city and community do reauire such change and that
the highest and best use is for Multiple Family Residential
purposes, now, therefore,

Section 1. The recommendation of the Planning Commission
of the City of Yakima that the following • described real property

copy of this ordinance.
Section 4. This Ordinance shall become effective thirty
(30) days after its passage approval and publication as provided
by law and the City Charter.
