A DOL check of the subject revealed his license was suspended. A STATISTICS: traffic stop was conducted, and the subject was placed under arrest. YSO Deputy Clayton came to 333 CALLS GENERATED/HANDLED the scene with his drug detecting K9. He deployed K9 Anita around the vehicle and she positively alerted to the odor of drugs. Meanwhile, the suspect's juvenile sons showed up to the stop in WITHIN DISTRICTS 1 AND 2 (PRIMARY another vehicle. TOTAL ARRESTS: 41 CRIMINAL LC CHARGES 42 SUCCESS STORIES DEA TASK FORCE SPECIAL ASSAULT UNIT CASES: • 14 DRUG OPERATIONS APRIL -180 CASES MAY - 201 CASES • 12 ounces of Cocaine seized($7,200) JUNE - 292 CASES • 18.3 pounds of Methamphetamine • Delayed Disclosure case: Former teacher at WVJH groomed and sexually assault a seized($21,960) female student over the period of five years. Victim gathered the courage to report incident. The suspect was currently a teacher on the west side of the state. Suspect • $217,592 US Currency seized arrested and brought back to Yakima. • 16 Arrests • Detectives performed undercover operations which resulted in two arrests this • 3 firearms recovered quarter. This operation involved detectives posing as a 15-year-old girl and these adult men were wanting to engage in sexual activity with her. Both subjects were arrested and charged with felony crimes. ,�pKIMA pE 43 SUCCESS STORIES GANG UNIT MAJOR CRIMES UNIT STATS: Total GANG labeled criminal incidents: 17 Chesterley Park Homicide Total Assaults with a weapon: 5 (0 resulted in injury to conviction-2nd Degree Murder persons) TotalAssaults(withorwithoutweapon): 10 Charges filed in 2024 homicide on GANG/YGUV incidents that involved a gun: 15 Erickson Lane An 18-year-old victim and his home were targeted by drive-by shooting twice.The location of the bullet holes was very specific and appeared to suggest the suspect(s)knew exactly where in the house to hit the victim.A 2025 Controlled Substance third drive-by shooting that occurred targeting the same location and victim.Patrol identified a suspect vehicle and found it along with a 17-year-old suspect.There was insufficient information to arrest the suspect the night Homicide being reviewed by of the incident for the shootings.The vehicle was impounded for a search warrant which was completed by Det. Yakima County Prosecutor's Office Dunmore.He located a.380 and a 9 mm pistol.Both of the pistols have already had presumptive NIBIN matches to the previous shootings and/or current one.The suspect was arrested for Attempted Murder 1st Degree(3), 134 Cases assigned Drive-by Shooting (3),Theft of a Firearm,and UPF 2"d Degree. Due to the suspects age and the nature of the crimes,he was referred to adult Superior Court for prosecution.These three drive-by shootings(counted in the stats under"Assault w/Weapon w/out Injury")account for three of the five assaults with a weapon incidents 0 Homicides in 2nd quarter from the quarter. pOLIGE 44 SUCCESS STORIES Patrol Division Accomplishments • Patrol Division Survey showed positive results Two new K9 teams graduated • Multiple Flock finds in 2nd quarter 10 Officers certified for Bike Patrol • 256 case assists International Police Mountain Bike • 85 arrests (Feb-present) Association • Significant arrests related to Flock • Domestic violence incident where the suspect Expanded UAV (drones) in patrol was found to be possession of several firearms. • Child sexual assault suspect located. • Domestic violence suspect who was possessing a firearm. ypKIMq POLICE 45
