AN ORDINANCE providing for the transfer of the sum of 32,230.00
between various accounts within the 1959 appropriation
for 50 - Cemetery Department and declaring an emer-
gency.
WHEREAS, at the time of the adoption of the 1959 Budget
for 50 - Cemetery Department, it could not have been reasonably
foreseen that additional labor and materials would be required for
the proper functioning of the Tahoma Cenetery owned and operated
by the City of Yarr.ima, and.
WHEREAS, a surplus exists in oertain other accounts within
said 1959 appropriation for said Cemetery Department, and.
WHREAS, an amergenoy exists requiring such a transfer
in order that the operation of the said Cemetery may be continued
0 and the City Council finds that it is in the best interests o
people of the City of Yakima to make such trensfer, and that the
action contemplated is authorized by R.C.W. 35.33.120, now therefore,
BI IT ORDAIYED BY THE CITY OP YAKIMA:
Section 1. That the sums itemized below are hereby trans-
ferred from surplue items of Salaries, Maintenance and Oeeration
and Capital or Betterment accounts classifications to deficit
items in Salaries and Maintenance and. Operation accounts claesi-
fications, all ilithin the 1959 approprietion for the Cemetery
Department.

Section 2 The Director of Finance of the City of Yakima
is hereby authorized and directed to make the aforesaid transfers.
Section 3 This ordinance is one to provide for the imme-
diate preservation of the public peace, oroperty health and safety
and an emergency is hereby declared to exist and this ordinance
shall be in full force and effect immediately upon its passage,
approval and publication as provided by law and the City Charter.
PASSED BY THE CITY COUNCIL, signed and approved this
