A RESOLUTION adopting the 2026 City of Yakima Master Fee Schedule.
WHEREAS, the City of Yakima has previously adopted a Master Fee Schedule
consolidating City fees and charges; and
WHEREAS, the City Council reviews fees and charges periodically to ensure they remain
current, accurate, and reflective of the cost of providing services; and
WHEREAS, various fee updates have been previously reviewed and adopted by the City
Council through separate actions; and
WHEREAS, staff has compiled the current Master Fee Schedule to incorporate all
previously adopted fees, along with minor administrative updates for clarity, consistency, and
accuracy; and
WHEREAS, certain limited fee changes not previously presented to the City Council are
identified in Exhibit "B" attached hereto; and
WHEREAS, the City Council finds it to be in the best interest of the City to adopt the
updated Master Fee Schedule in its entirety;
BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF YAKIMA:
SECTION 1. The City of Yakima Master Fee Schedule, attached hereto as Exhibit "A"
and incorporated herein by this reference, is hereby adopted in full.
SECTION 2. The fee changes identified in Exhibit "B," representing modifications not
previously reviewed by the City Council, are hereby specifically approved.
SECTION 3. This Resolution shall take effect and be in full force on June 1, 2026.

b Valuations for new construction shall be based on the square footage of the new construction multiplied by the fee amount
per square foot assigned to the occupancy group and type of construction outlined in Table 1-1. Permit fees and plan review
fees in Table 1-2 shall apply based on this calculated valuation. For all other work proposed, the permit fee will be based on
the total value of work. Final permit valuation shall be set by the building official.

Initial inspection for new businesses, when deemed necessary, shall be performed by the Code
Administration and a one-time fee equivalent to the rate shown in the Fire Inspections fee table shall
be charged. Yakima Fire Department to conduct and charge for annual inspections thereafter.

ITEM TITLE: Resolution adopting the 2026 City of Yakima Master Fee Schedule
SUBMITTED BY: Craig Warner, Director of Finance & Budget
This resolution adopts the 2026 City of Yakima Master Fee Schedule, consolidating all previously
approved fees into a single, updated document. The schedule includes minor administrative revisions for
clarity and consistency, as well as limited fee changes outlined in Exhibit "B" that have not been
previously reviewed by the City Council. All other fee schedule changes have been previously reviewed
and approved by Council at various meeting dates. The updated fee schedule will take effect on June 1,
2026.
