HISTORIC PRESERVATION COMMISSION
MEETING MINUTES 10/22/25
Date: October 22, 2025
Time: 5:30 p.m
Place: City Hall Council Chambers
Staff: Connor Kennedy, Associate Planner
I. Call to Order Commission Chair
II. Roll Call Staff Liaison
i. Dawn King, Cynthia Hall, Paul Edmonson are present. Mann and Busey absent.
III. Approval of Meeting Minutes from 9/24/25 Commission Chair
i. The commission moves to approve the minutes from 9/24/25
IV. Audience Participation Commission Chair
i. No audience participation
V. New Business Staff Liaison
i. Staff provides updates on Naches Ave Historic Overlay Zone
ii. Staff discusses that the upcoming regularly scheduled meetings for 2025 are scheduled for the
night before Thanksgiving and Christmas Eve, and proposes that the October 2025 HPC meeting
be the last HPC meeting for the year pending any review items.
VI. Old Business Commission Chair
HPC Postcards – updates
i. Staff discuses budget challenges regarding HPC Postcards and provides possible avenues to
pursue the funding of these postcards.
ii. Commissioners discuss potential funding and grant opportunities.
VII. Adjournment
i. Commissioner King motions to adjourn. Chair Hall indicates that this adjournment will not be to
November 26, 2025, but to January 28, 2025. The Commission votes and the meeting adjourns.
Adjourn to next scheduled Historic Preservation Commission meeting January 28, 2026, at 5:30pm
in the Council Chambers.
