ITEM TITLE: Project Completion and Contract Acceptance with Apollo Inc. for N 1st
Street Phase 3 Project 2580 (No Budgetary Impact)

SUMMARY EXPLANATION:
City of Yakima Project 2580 provided for reconstruction of North 1st Street between Martin Luther King
Jr Blvd and J Street. Including sidewalk, curb and gutter, storm drainage improvements, domestic water,
landscaping, irrigation, and related improvements. Project was funded through Washington State
Department of Transportation with federal funds from the National Highway Freight Program, and with
Transportation Benefit District funds.
Final inspection for this project has been completed, and project acceptance is recommended. Project
completion is subject to issuance of Certificate of Payment by the Department of Revenue.
Project Manager: Dana Kallevig
Contractor: Apollo Inc
Contract Award: $10,247,584.39
Final Contract Cost: $11,835,879.33
Retainage Due: $0
City Council action is required to accept the project and approve the final construction costs.
ITEM BUDGETED: Yes

RECOMMENDATION: Accept Project.
