During the month of March 2026, the Pro Act Unit conducted multiple controlled
RECOVERED) purchases of suspected methamphetamine from a residence that is less than a block
away from Barge-Lincoln Elementary and a few houses away from a day-care.
• 15 SEARCH WARRANTS SERVICED On April 15th, Pro Act executed a search warrant at the residence with the assistance
of the YPD Gang Unit, and the Yakima County Sheriff's Pro Act Unit. During the
• 161 ARRESTS MADE execution of the search warrant approximately '/2 pound of methamphetamine was
recovered along with small amounts of fentanyl. Additionally, approximately $2,800 in
• 341 HOMELESS ISSUES DEALT WITH suspected illegal proceeds were seized, along with 7 handguns and parts to build an
AR-15 style rifle. The suspect had body armor and hundreds of rounds of ammunition.

• On the evening of December 23, 2025. MCU was called out to a homicide
in the 1900 block of Englewood Ave. Detectives worked throughout the
night and during the following day, to locate surveillance video from
nearby homes and businesses. They utilized FLOCK cameras in an
attempt to identity the suspect vehicle as well as the vehicle's path
before and after the homicide. Detectives were able to identity the
vehicle and its occupants and on January 14th 2026, through the
collaborative efforts of MCU and partner agencies, a 17 year old male
was located and arrested for the murder.
v _ O S • In the early morning hours of February 22th, 2026, MCU detectives were called out to a
homicide in the 400 block of N 5th Ave. A luvenile male had been shot and killed. Two
UN _ _ LAST 5 MONTHS other juveniles were also been shot in the same incident. Again, detectives had very little
information on a potential suspect (s). They spent the next weeks interviewing numerous
people that were at the location at the time of the shooting as well as tracking down
surveillance video in an effort to identity a potential vehicle involved. Detectives were
able to identity the vehicle and the driver of the vehicle. The driver of the vehicle was
located and arrested for rendering criminal assistance. Additional work is continuing to
,�pKIMq identify the person responsible for the murder.

This operation was a joint effort by the YPD Pro-Act Unit, YPD Gang Unit, YPD Patrol, and the YPD Narcotics Unit.
