ITEM TITLE: Project Completion and Contract Acceptance with Chervenell
Construction Company for MLK Jr Park Eastside Pool (Aquatic
Center) Project 2745 (No Budgetary Impact)

SUMMARY EXPLANATION:
City of Yakima Project 2745 provided for a swimming pool, waterslides, activity area, lap lanes, exercise
area, bath-house and more at 610 S 9th Street. This project was funded by multiple sources including
Washington State Legislature, Yakima County, City of Yakima, the Recreation and Conservation Office
for the State of Washington, and over$3 million dollars in donations.
Final inspection for this project has been completed, and project acceptance is recommended. Project
completion is subject to issuance of Certificate of Payment by the Department of Revenue.
Project Manager: Ken Wilkinson
Contractor: Chervenell Construction Company
Contract Award: $10,580,910.00
Final Contract Cost: $10,546,602.25
Retainage Due: $0
City Council action is required to accept the project and approve the final construction costs.

RECOMMENDATION: Accept Project.
