AN ORDINANCE acc4.pting the recommendation of the Planning
Commission for the rezone of certain property
located on Lincoln Avenue.
WHEREAS, on March 2, 1960, at a regularly scheduled
meeting of the City Council, a hearing was had upon the recom-
mendation of the Planning Commission that certain specified
property in the City of Yakima, to-wit:
Beginninrr 1258 feet South and 426.6 feet East
of the Northwest corner of the Northeast
quarter of Section 22, Township 13 Ncirth
Range 18 E.W.M.; thence East'95.5 feet; thence
North 1932 . feet; thence North 53° 49° .West
93 feet; theme North 66° 31' West 22.4 feet;
thenoe South 257 feet to the point of beginning,
and
Beginning at a point on the West line of the
411 Northeast quarter of Section 22, Township 13
North, Range 18 E.W.N 1035.2 feet South of
the Northwest corner thereof; thence East 311.1
feet to the true point of beginning; thence
South 222.8 feet; thence East 115.5 feet;
thence North 222.8 feet; thence West 115Q5
feet to the point of beginning.
be ezoned from R-1 Single Family Residential to R-2 Two
Family Residential, and
WHERMIS, the City Council finds that sun recommendation
• of the Planntorr Commission for such rezoning should be approved
for the following reasons, to-wit: That such rezoning : in
accord with good planning and with the Comprehensive Plan
• of the City of Yakima; that the mojority of property owners
in the vicinity do not oppose the change in classification;
that the needs of the city and community do require such change

and that the highest and best use is for Two Family Residential
purpose3, now therefore,
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY OP YAKIMA:
Section 1. The recommendation of the Planning Com-

mission of thz City of Yakima that the following described
real property situate on Lincoln Avenue and more particularly
described as follows,,to-wit:
Beginning 1258 feet South and 426.6 feet East of
the Northwest corner of the Northeast quarter of
Section 22, Township 13 North, Range 18 E.W.M.;
thence Eat 95.5 feet; thence North 193.2 feet;
thence North 53° 49 West 93 feet; thence North
66°31' West 22.4 feet; thence South 257 feet to
the point of beginning; and
Beginning at a point on the West line of the
Northeast quarter of Section 22, Township 13 North,
Range 18, E.W.M.; 1035.2 feet South of the North-
west corner thereof; thence East 311.1 feet to the
true point of beginning; thence South 222.8 feet;
thence East 115.5 feet; thence North 222.8 feet;
thenc West 115.5 feet to . 41e point of beginning.
• be rezoned from R-1, Single Family Re4Jidential to R-2, Two
Family Residential, be and the same is hereby approved.
Section 2. The above change in zoning shall be included
and depicted on the next regularly amended Use District Nap
prepared by and for the said City.
Section 3. The City Clerk is hereby auteorized and
directed to file with the Yakima County Auditor a certified
copy of this ordinance.
Section 4. This ordinance shall become effective thirty
days after its passage, approval and publication as provided
by law and the City Charter.
PASSED BY THE CITY COUNCIL, signed and approved this
