RE: LTAC Committee
Dear Council,
We have heard there was talk of possibly expanding the Yakima Lodging Tax
Advisory Committee (LTAC) from the current nine members to eleven. As
representatives of LTAC assessed lodging properties, we implore you not to
go that route.
In most communities the size of the LTAC committee is five, sometimes
seven. Our market is small and lodging staffing is stretched thin, especially
since COVID. It places a strain on the lodging properties with the number of
commitments and duties we already have.
Please keep the committee at the current size. Thank you.
