ITEM TITLE: Resolution amending the Master Fee Schedule related to Parks,
Recreation and Tahoma Cemetery rates

SUMMARY EXPLANATION:
As a part of the 2026 Parks, Recreation and Tahoma Cemetery budget process, increased fees were
discussed and included in the budgeted revenues for 2026. On January 13, 2026, a presentation was
given to the Yakima City Council regarded the proposed fees for Parks, Recreation and Tahoma
Cemetery. The City Council approved the fees as presented. A resolution adopting the fees is required
by an amendment to the Master Fee Schedule.
ITEM BUDGETED: Yes
STRATEGIC PRIORITY 24-25: A Thriving Yakima
RECOMMENDATION: Adopt Resolution.

RESOLUTION NO. R-2026-
A RESOLUTION of the City of Yakima, Washington, amending a Master Fee Schedule.
WHEREAS, the City's fees are found in the Master Fee Schedule, adopted and
amended by resolution; and
WHEREAS, the Parks and Recreation Division periodically reviews its fees on a regular
basis and after budget discussions in 2025 did a review of its fees; and
WHEREAS, after staff reviewed the fees and evaluated whether or not fees should be
changed, the Parks and Recreation Manager presented the proposed changes to the Parks,
Recreation and Tahoma Cemetery rates with Council on January 13, 2026; and
WHEREAS, the City Council finds that the attached fees and charges to be adequate
and appropriate; and
WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Yakima finds that it is in the best interests of
the City and its residents to update the Master Fee Schedule to amend the Parks, Recreation,
and Tahoma Cemetery fees; now, therefore,
BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF YAKIMA:
The Master Fee Schedule with regards to the rates, fees and charges for Parks, Recreation,
and Tahoma Cemeter, as set forth in the attached Exhibit "A", which is incorporated herein, are
hereby adopted by this reference shall be and is hereby amended.
ADOPTED BY THE CITY COUNCIL this 20th day of January, 2026.
