SUMMARY EXPLANATION:
The Council Nominating Committee met on December 8, 2025 and made the following recommendation:
• Lodging Tax Advisory Committee - reappoint John Cooper
ITEM BUDGETED:
STRATEGIC PRIORITY 24-25: An Engaged Yakima
RECOMMENDATION: Motion to approve recommendation.

COUNCIL NOMINATING COMMITTEE MINUTES
City Manager's Conference Room
Monday December 8, 2025
The meeting convened at 4:00 p.m.
Council present: Reedy Berg, Rick Glenn, and Danny Herrera
Staff present: City Clerk Rosalinda Ibarra
Reedy Berg was selected as Chair of this meeting.
1. The Council Nominating Committee interviewed John Cooper and Kristi Foster and
made the following recommendation:
MOTION: Glenn moved and Herrera seconded to recommend John Cooper for
reappointment to the Lodging Tax Advisory Committee as a member involved
in activities authorized to be funded by revenue received from the lodging tax.
The motion carried unanimously.
2. The meeting adjourned at 5:04 p.m.
