HomeMy WebLinkAbout1960-112 ORDINANCE AN ORDINANCE accepting the recommendation of the Planning Commission for the rezone of certain property located between South 3rd Avenue and South 4th Avenue. WHEREAS, on April 26, 1960, at a regularly scheduled meeting of the City Council, a hearing was had upon the recom- mondation of the Planning Commission that certain specified property in the City of Yakima, to-wit: Lot 6, Mattersonis Acre Tracts be rezoned from R-2, Two Family Residential to B-2 Local Business and WHEREAS, the City Council finds that such recommendation of the Planning Commission for such rezoning should be approve& • for the following reasons, to-wit: That such rezoning is accord with good planning and with the Comprehensive Plan of the City of Yakima; that the majority of property owners in the vicinity do not oppose the change in classification; that the needs of the city and community do require such change and that the highest and beat use is for Local Business pur- poses, now therefore BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY OF YAKII:A: Section 1. The recommendation of the Planning Com- mission of the City of Yakima that the following described real property situate between South 3rd Avenue and South 4th Avenue and more particularly described as follows, to-wit: 4 • Lot 6 Natterson° s Acre Tracts be rezoned from Rat, Two Pamily Residential to B -2, Local Business, be and the same is hereby approved. Section 2. The above change in zoning shall be in- cluded and depicted on the next regularly amended Use District Map prepared by and for the said City. Section 3. The City Clerk is hereby authorized and directed to file with the Yakima County Auditor a certified copy of this ordinance. Section 4. This ordinance shall become effective thirty days after its passage, approval and publication as provided by law and the City Charter.
