HomeMy WebLinkAbout1960-115 etP" 4 • ORDINANCE NO. //J AN ORDINANCE transferring the sum of $4,200.00 within the 1960 appropriation for 41 - Cemetery, and declaring an emergency. WHEREAS, a surplus exists in Account 6-02 Land Improve- ments of the Capital or Betterment classification of the 1960 appropriation for 41 - Cemetery, and WHEREAS, at the time of the adoption of the 1960 Budget, it was not kmown that there would be greater requirements in Account 7-34 Heavy Materials for burial grave liners and that it is necessary to have an additional $2 in said account, and WHEREAS, at the time of the adoption of the 1960 appro- priation for 41 - Cemetery, it was not known that a tractor and back hoe would be required for the efficient operation of the Cemetery and that the additional sum of :;'S2,200.00 would be required for such a purchase in Item 6-31, Machinery nnd Equip- ment, and WHEREAS, the City Council finds that it is in the best interests of the People of the City of Yakima to make the transfer of funds herein provided and the action contemplated is authorized by R.C.W. 35.33.120 now, therefore, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY OF YAKIMA% Section 1. The Director of Finance of the City of Yakima is hereby authorized and directed to make the aforesaid transfers. Section 3 This ordinance io one to provide . Cor the immediate preservation of the public peace, property, health and safety of the people of the City of Yakima, and an amer- gocy is hereby declared to exist and this ordinance shall be in full force and effect imediately upon its pascage„ approval and publication as provided by law and the City Charter.
