R-2006- 130 A RESOLUTION fixing the time and place for a public hearing to create a Local Improvement District (LID), for the area of North 85th Avenue and Kail Drive, in the City of Yakima Council Chambers. WHEREAS, it is the intention of the City Council to improve the following described property by constructing the necessary sewer main and all necessary appurtenances. WHEREAS, a public hearing must be held on said program before a local improvement district can be created, now, therefore, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF YAKIMA: That said program shall be presented for hearing and determination on Tuesday, September 19th, 2006, at the hour of 7:00 o'clock p.m. on said days, in the Council Chambers of the City of Yakima, at Yakima City Hall, Yakima, Washington, or as soon thereafter as the same may be heard, and that notice of such hearing be given as approved by law. Scale —lin = 300ft 0 150 300 Created: August 24, 2006 BUSINESS OF THE CITY COUNCIL YAKIMA, WASHINGTON AGENDA STATEMENT Item No. 13 For Meeting of September 5, 2006 ITEM TITLE: Set September 19, 2006 as the date for a public hearing and adopt a Resolution of Intent to Create a Sewer Local Improvement District (LID) for North 85th Avenue and Kail Drive. SUBMITTED BY: William Cook, Dept. of Community and Economic Development CONTACT PERSON/TELEPHONE: Robert Desgrosellier, Acting City Engineer, 575-6228 SUMMARY EXPLANATION: The formation of this Sewer Local Improvement District (LID) for North 85th Avenue and Kail Drive consists of twenty-six (26) parcels as shown on the attached LID boundary map. The project will consist of the construction of approximately 2,145 linear feet of 8 - inch sewer pipe. The City has received signed Petitions from property owners within the LID boundary representing over 58% of the property values of the property owners. State law requires 51% to initiate an in -city LID. The attached Resolution is to set the date of LID Public Hearing for September 19, 2006. The estimated cost to install sewer along N. 85th Avenue and Kail Drive is $339,103.22. This project will commence upon approval of this Resolution of Intent.
