A RESOLUTION fixing the time and place for hearing for September 20, 2005 in the
Council Chambers at City Hall on an amendment to the 2005 through
2010 Six Year Transportation Improvement Program (STIP).
WHEREAS, the City of Yakima annually prepares, reviews and adopts a Six Year
Program for the construction of streets and arterial streets in the City of Yakima for the
ensuing six year period, all as contemplated and required by State and Federal law, and
WHEREAS, the City of Yakima has identified a need to amend the current Six Year
Program for the construction of streets and arterial streets in the City of Yakima; and
WHEREAS, a public hearing must be held on said amended program before final
approval, now, therefore,
BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF YAKIMA:
That said amended program shall be presented for hearing and determination on Tuesday,
September 20, 2005, at the hour of 2:00 PM on said day, in the Council Chambers of the City
of Yakima, at Yakima City Hall, Yakima, Washington, oras soon thereafter as the same may
be heard, and that notice of such hearing be given as approved by law.
ADOPTED BY THE CITY COUNCIL this 6th day of September, 2005.

Improvement Program (STIP) to include additional Federal Funding
for Washington Avenue Reconstruction Project.

SUMMARY EXPLANATION:
Attached is a copy of the proposed amended Six -Year Transportation Improvement Plan
(STIP) for the 2005-2010 planning years. The City of Yakima has identified a need to
amend the current Six Year Program for the construction of streets and arterial streets in
the City of Yakima to include additional federal funding to the Washington Avenue
Reconstruction Project which effects the Federal Surface Transportation Program (STP)
funds the City receives to accomplish improvements within the City (see attached). This
amendment needs to be included in the City of Yakima STIP to receive the additional
funding.
