ITEM TITLE: Set dates of November 12 and 18, 2025, for public hearings on the
2025-2026 Mid Biennial Budget for the City of Yakima

SUMMARY EXPLANATION:
State law requires the City to hold public hearings to receive community input on the proposed mid-
biennial budget. Staff recommends scheduling two public hearings to provide ample opportunity for
comment:
• First Public Hearing: Wednesday, November 12, 2025
• Second Public Hearing: Tuesday, November 18, 2025
The purpose of these hearings is to accept input, comments, and questions from residents, stakeholders,
and other affected parties regarding the proposed 2025-2026 Mid-Biennial Budget.

RECOMMENDATION: Set hearing dates.
