A RESOLUTION granting a public fireworks display permit to Eagle Fireworks and
waiver of the $50.00 permit application fee on behalf of Eisenhower High School ASB
WHEREAS, Eagle Fireworks has applied to the City for a public fireworks display
permit to conduct a public fireworks display at Zaepfel Stadium at Eisenhower High School
on October 15, 2004; and
WHEREAS, Eagle Fireworks has complied with the requirements of Sections
10.15.040 and 10.15.050 of the City of Yakima Municipal Code in that it has shown proof of
adequate insurance, and is the holder of a valid State Fire Marshal Permit for such display
and the Code Administration Manager has investigated and approved the location of such
display, now, therefore
BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF YAKIMA:
Pursuant to the provisions of Section 10.15.040 of the City of Yakima Municipal Code,
Eagle Fireworks is hereby granted a peiiuit for public fireworks display according to the
terms and conditions found upon the attached and incorporated permit application.

APPLICATION FOR PERMIT FOR PUBLIC DISPLAY OF
FIREWORKS AND/OR PYROTECHNICS DISPLAY
WITHIN THE CITY LIMITS OF THE CITY OF YAKIMA
The undersigned does hereby apply this date 1 - ZJ - G
for a permit for public display of fireworks. The applicant shall provide
a detailed site plan of the exact location of the display, along with the signature of the
property owner or person responsible upon whose property the public display of
fireworks is located.
The applicant for a public display of fireworks shall, at the time of application, submit
his license issued by the State Fire Marshall for inspection. In addition, the applicant
shall submit a Certificate of Insurance in an amount not Tess than Fifty Thousand
Dollars and One Million Dollars for each person and event respectively. And not Tess
than Twenty -Five Thousand Dollars for property damage liability for each event and the
Certificate of Insurance shall also name, as additional insured parties, the City of
Yakima, its officers and employees acting in their capacity as agents of the City.

This procedure describes the process for the
application of a Fireworks Display Permit
conducted in Yakima, Washington under the
Yakima Municipal Code, Chapter 10.15.
WHEN IS A PERMIT REQUIRED?
• Displays are allowed until 10:00 p.m., displays
after 10:00 p.m. require additional approval from
the City Council
III. SITE PLAN / INSPECTION
A site plan must be provided indicating the location of the
fireworks:
• The site plan will be reviewed by a City of Yakima
fire inspector;
• A city of Yakima fire inspector will make a site
inspection prior to the display.
IV. AREA NOTIFICATION
A permit is required for any person to make a
public display of fireworks within the city limits of
Yakima, Washington.
I. PERMIT APPLICATION

• A fifty -dollar fee for each display and a
$47.00 fee for plan review and site
inspection;
• The City Council may waive the fifty-
dollar fee for student organizations;
• Application shall be made at least ten
It is the responsibility of the applicant to notify the
surrounding neighborhoods of the display as to the times 1
and location and to supply Codes with notification flyer.
V. STAFF NOTIFICATION
City staff will contact the Fire and Police departments and
fax them a copy of the application for their knowledge.

10.15.040 Permit for Public Display
• The applicant at the time of application
for a public display of fireworks shall;

SUMMARY EXPLANATION:
Eagle Fireworks has applied for a permit on behalf of the Eisenhower High School ASB
to conduct a special fireworks display at Eisenhower High School, Zaepfel Stadium on
October 15, 2004 at 8:30 in the evening. The display is being conducted by Eagle
Fireworks at no charge to the school and a request has been made that the $50 fee be
waived by the City Council. Pursuant to Yakima Municipal Code 10.15.040 City Council
may waive the fee for student organizations.
Evidence of liability insurance, state permit and site plan have been submitted and are
on file in the office of Code Administration.
The Public Display of Fireworks application complies with the provisions of Chapter
10.15 of the Yakima Municipal Code.
