For Meeting of: August 4, 2025 Resolution authorizing a technology fee for online registration transactions for Parks and Recreation Programs and Events (General Fund Revenue) SUBMITTED BY: Scott Schafer, Director of Public Works *Ken Wilkinson, Parks & Recreation Manager SUMMARY EXPLANATION: The current online registration system used for Parks & Recreation programs, events, facility reservations, etc., is not able to meet the needs of the users and a new system is being implemented. The new system, Dash by DaySmart, will provide an improved experience for our online customers but will be more costly than our current system; costing $9,000 for the first year.. Implementing a $0.50 technology fee per transaction, will offset the increase in cost of Dash by DaySmart. In 2024, over 19,000 transactions occurred.
