Item No. 6.E.
For Meeting of: January 17, 2017
ITEM TITLE: Resolution setting the date for a Public Hearing on February 7,
2017, at 6:30 p.m. to amend the six-year Transportation
Improvement Program (TIP)
SUBMITTED BY: Brett Sheffield, Chief Engineer 576-6797
SUMMARY EXPLANATION:
This action would set February 7, 2017 as the date for a public hearing to amend the six-year
TIP. On December 21, 2016, a letter was sent by the Washington State Department of
Transportation notifying the City that we had received a federal grant in the amount of $1,012,898
to construct roundabouts at the intersections of 34th Avenue and Fruitvale Avenue and 34th
Avenue and River Road. An amendment to the 2017 — 2022 six-year TIP is required to revise
the work specified in the number 35 priority project, N. 34th Avenue and Fruitvale Boulevard
Intersection Improvements.
