ITEM TITLE: Vendor Contract Closeout with Boss Construction Inc. for the
Wastewater Treatment Plant Primary Digester 2 & 3 Cleaning Project

SUMMARY EXPLANATION:
City of Yakima Project WF2715 provided for removing biosolids and debris from Primary Digesters 2 & 3
at the City's Wastewater Treatment Plant, cleaning the interior of the two digesters, providing new
access manways, and modification of the overflow piping. Final inspection for this contractor is complete
with a recommendation that the contract close out be accepted.
Contract acceptance is subject to certificate of release from Labor& Industries, Department of Revenue,
and Employment Security Department.
Project Manager: Marc Cawley
Contractor: Boss Construction, Inc
Contract Award: $ 577,732.85
Final Contract Cost: $ 567,375.75
Retainage Due: $ 0
The total contract is for the construction only and does not include engineering and other costs. City
Council action is requested to accept the project and approve the final construction costs.

In accordance with General Conditions Section 3.04.16(2), the City is notifying
Boss Construction, Inc. that the Physical Completion date for this project is
February 18, 2025. Physical Completion does not imply the City's acceptance of
the work or the contract.
