AN ORDINANCE appropriating the sum of $10 from the
unappriated monies in the Firemen's Relief and
Pension Fund to account 7 - 14 of the
Maintenance and Operations Classification of the
1960 appropriation for 61 - Firemen's Relief and
Pension Fund and declaring an emergency.
WHEREAS one of the members of the Fire Department has
declared his intention of resigning from the service and two
other members of the Fire Department have indicated that they
may resign from the service before January 1 1961 and
WHEREAS under applicable law resigning members are ,
entitled to a refund of the money paid by them into the Fire-
men's Relief and Pension Fund and
WHEREAS, there is insufficient money in account 7 - 14
111 Refunds of the Maintenance and Operation Classification of the
1960 appropriation for 61 - Firemen's Relief and Pension Fund
with which to pay such refunds 9 and the Council finds that an
emergency exists of the type contemplated and authorized by
ROW 35.33.090 and that it is in the best interests of the
people of the City of Yakima to make the appropriation therein
provided for, now therefore:
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY OF YAKIMA:
Section 10 The sum of $10 is aereby appro-
priated from the unappropriated monies in the Firemen's Relief
and. Pension Fund to Account 7 - 14 Refunds of the Maintenance
and Operation Classification of the 1960 appropriation for 61
Firemen's Reltof and Pension Fund.
III Section 2. This ordinance is one to provide for the
immediate preservation of the public peace property, health
and safety of the people of the City of Yakima v and an emergency

is hereby declared to exist and this ordinance shall be in
full force and effect immediately upon its passage approval
and publication as provided by. law and the City Charter.
PASSED BY THE CITY COUNCIL signed and approved this
day of September 1960.
