BOX 820 NACHES, WA 98937 -0820 YAKIMA CITY PARKS 2301 FRUITVALE BLVD. YAKIMA, WA 98902 TO: Yakima City Parks, I am writing this letter at the request of Denise Nichols regarding the donation of your 1978 Toro Gang Mower, from Yakima City Parks to our organization. Richard Wonner supervised my viewing the mower. Upper Valley Sports and Recreation Association is a c3 and our tax ID number is 91- 1952090. Currently we are in the process of building Cleman's View Park (formerly the Naches Boot and Spur Club plus property donated by Allan Bros. Inc.) just east of Naches on Highway #12. This twenty four (24) acre complex containing four (4) baseball fields, several soccer /football fields, walking paths and other amenities will serve both our youth and communities throughout the Upper Valley area. The Toro Gang Mower would be a very welcome addition to our complex and would serve a very vital function by helping to keep our facility well groomed. Thank you for your consideration. Sincerely, t o b J- f Ranger President UVSR &A (509) 653 -2256 or 961 -3862 February 8, 2001 Denise Nichols Director City of Yakima Parks 2301 Fruitvale Yakima !Kk 98902 Yakima Greenway Foundation Dear Denise, Thank you for the call regarding your intent to surplus out two 72 inch trim mowers. The current trim mower we have was one that was a surplus purchase from the City several years ago. We would be very interested in the purchase of one or perhaps both of these mowers, subject to budget appropriation from the Greenway Board of Directors. As I understand the process, the units can be sold at "trade-in" value to an organization such as the Greenway. I request that once that value is established, we be notified and I will have the unit(s) inspected and I will then take to the Board for approval. Thank you for thinking of us for this use.
