As you are aware, the condition of our patrol vehicles is deteriorating. Your offer of selling a used patrol vehicle to us is most gracious. In particular, the 1996 Crown Victoria assigned to one of your traffic investigators would fit our needs. Please consider this letter as an intent to purchase the used patrol vehicle. We can work out additional details later. If there are any dramatic changes in the condition of the patrol vehicle between now and the estimated February availability I would need to reconsider. I appreciated the tour of your facility. We'll talk soon.
