For Meeting of: July 1, 2025 ITEM TITLE: Clean City Program 2025 Year-to-Date presentation SUBMITTED BY: Scott Schafer, Director of Public Works *Trace Bradburn, Solid Waste Manager SUMMARY EXPLANATION: Since its inception in 2019, Clean City has been a heavily depended upon program to address the various blights occurring in Yakima; ranging from providing rapid graffiti removal, to the cleaning and removal of homeless encampments and littered filled alleyways. This presentation will highlight the 2025 year to date accomplishments, recent activities, a 3-year comparison and proposed budget reductions. The goal is to deliver a more efficient, timely, and proactive response to visual and environmental concerns impacting the city's appearance and livability.
