R-1999-113 SIX-YEAR TRANSPORATION IMPROVEMENT PROGRAM (TIP)
RESOLUTION NO. A RESOLUTION adopting an amended Six Year Transportation. Improvement Program for the period of 2000 through 2005 for the construction of streets and arterial streets in the City of Yakima. WHEREAS,. the City of Yakima annually prepares, reviews and adopts a Six Year Program for the construction of streets and arterial streets in the City of Yakima for the ensuing six year period, all as contemplated and required by State and Federal law, and WHEREAS, the City of Yakima has identified a need to -amend the current Six Year -Program for the construction of streets andarterial streets in the City of Yakima; and WHEREAS, after, a public hearing on the, matter, held at a regular - meeting:of the Yakima City Council on September 7, 1999 the City Council finds that the plan attached hereto . should be adopted as the Six Year Transportation Improvement Program for the period of 2000 through 2005 'for the construction of .streets and arterial streets ..in the. City of Yakima,.. now, therefore. BE IT RESOLVED BY THE :CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF YAKIMA: The Six -Year Construction Program for the period of 2000 through 2005, a copy of which is attached hereto and by this reference made a part hereof, is hereby .adopted as the 'official_ Six -Year Transportation Improvement Program for the City .of Yakima. Page 4 of 4 BUSINESS OF THE CITY COUNCIL YAKIMA, WASHINGTON AGENDA STATEMENT Item No. ip For Meeting of September 7,1999 THEM TI TLE: 2000 - 2005 Six -Year Transportation Improvement Program SUBMIT" 1'ED BY: William Cook, Dept. of Community and Economic Development CONTACT PERSON/TELEPHONE: Robert Desgrosellier, Acting Engineering, Division Manager / 575-6228 SUMMARY EXPLANATION: Each year the City is required by RCW 35.77.010 and RCW 36.81.121 to update its Six -Year Transportation Improvement Program (TIP) for submittal to the Washington State Department of Transportation. This plan must include all transportation projects for which state gas tax revenue or federal revenue will be used. To complete the requirement of the Supporting Investments in Economic Development (SIED) Program funds for infrastructure near the proposed Baby Jogger Company site, the project 'S' Street and 5th Street (Naches Avenue) must be included in the Capital Facilities Plan. Through this TIP amendment that requirement is satisfied. Council Resolution No. R-99-110 and the Agenda Statement dated August 17th, 1999 are attached. This project addition is the only addition or amendment to the 2000 - 2005 TIP.
