Luz Gutierrez Jon Smith Maria Rodriguez John Cooper Council Member Adkison Jeff Cutter, Interim City Manager Cindy Epperson, Finance and Budget Director Colleda Monick, Economic Development Assistant Executive Minutes Council Member Maureen Adkison sitting in for Council Member Avina Gutierrez. Adkison made a motion to pass the executive minutes from the June 2 nd Council Economic Development Committee Meeting. Cousens seconded. Motion carries.  Economic Development Plan Proposal Hawkins provided an overview of a proposed plan submitted by Tadzo Consulting to assist in developing a city wide Economic Development Plan. Cousens moved to take the $27,500 proposal by Tadzo Consulting to full council on 7.19.16. Adkison seconded. Motion carries  Former Montgomery Ward Site SIED Resolution Hawkins notified the committee that the SIED Resolution for the former Montgomery Ward Site will be part of the July 5th Council Packet. Coffey made a motion that it be noted for full Council, that the Council Economic Development Committee approves this SIED Resolution. Adkison seconded. Motion carries.  Cubcrafters Expansion Hawkins shared the news that Cubcrafters is expecting significant growth in the future and would like to invite him to the July Council Economic Committee meeting to present to council about their expansion plans.  Parking Meter Discussion Removed from the agenda.  Public Market/Business Incubator Next Steps Council committee members instructed Hawkins to start the paperwork to apply for a $50,000 CERB grant that could be used in paying for the costs associated with planning a public market/business incubator. The city would be required to match funds in the amount of $12,500. Committee council members requested Hawkins to take the completed proposal straight to full council.  .5K Run Cousens presented the idea for a downtown .5K run tha t might include participation from local downtown businesses, restaurants, wineries, and breweries. Coffey suggested that Cousens take her idea to the Craft Beverage Yakima group.  RECON Follow-Up Hawkins reported that he was continuing to follow up with businesses that showed interest in Yakima and specifically focusing on those that were interested the Mill Site. Hawkins with Smith of YCDA will be following up with Kidder Mathews of Seattle in July. Also of note, more Starbucks are slated to open up l ocations around the Yakima area later this year. Cousens moved to adjourn. Adkison seconded. Motion carries.
