AN ORDINANCE transferring the sum of $7 within the 1960 Appro-
priation for 21 - Police Department, and declaring an
emergency.
WHEREAS a surplus exists in Account 7-05 Other Per Annum of
the Salaries classification of the 1960 Appropriation for 21 - Police
Department and
WHEREAS 9 at the time of the adoption of the 1960 Budget for 21
Police Department the increase in repair cost had not been anticipated,,
and insufficient moneys were appropriated in Account 740 Auto0 9
Parts & Repair of the Maintenance & Operation classification, and
WHEREAS at the time of the adoption of said Budget it was not
anticipated that gas costs would increase, and insufficient money
was appropriated in Account 741, Auto., Motor Fuel, Ete, of the
ID Maintenance & Operation classification nor that there would be an
increase in Account 7-55 Light & Power and
W1-IEREAS the City Council finds that it is in the best interests
of the City of Yakima to make the transfers herein prov1ded that an
emergency exists and that the action contemplated herein is authorized
by R.C.W. 35.33.120 now therefore,
DE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY OF YAKIMA:
Section 1. That the following sums are hereby transferrcd within
the 1960 Appropriation for 21 - Police Department to-wit:

Section 2. The Director of Finance of the City of Yakima is
hereby authorized and directed to make the foregoing transfers.
Section 3. This ordinance is one to provide for the immediate
preservation of the public peace, property, health and safety of the
people of the Oity of Yakima, and an emergency is hereby declared to
exist, and this ordinance shall be in full force and effect immediately
upon its passage, approval and publication as provided by law and by
City Charter.
PASSED BY THE CITY COUNCIL, signed and approved this 19th day of
October, 1960.
