A RESOLUTION authorizing a contract extension with Airplanners, LLC. for air service
development and consulting services for the Yakima Air
Terminal/McAllister Field.
WHEREAS, the City of Yakima (City) owns and operates a municipal airport providing
local and commercial air service within south-central Washington in accordance with applicable
Federal, State and Local regulations; and
WHEREAS, the City entered into City Contract 2020-041 per resolution R-2020-028 with
Airplanners, LLC.; and
WHEREAS, the original term of said Contract currently terminates on March 31, 2025;
and
WHEREAS, the development of solicitation and negotiations over the terms of a new
contract relating to Request for Qualifications ("RFQ") No. 12512Q Air Service Development &
Consultant Services are ongoing; and
WHEREAS, the parties want the existing contract to remain in effect for six months during
the development of the new specification and pendency of negotiations, and until a new contract
is signed, now, therefore,
BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF YAKIMA:
The City Manager is hereby authorized to execute a six-month contract extension,
attached hereto and incorporated herein by this reference, with Airplanners, LLC., from March 31,
2025, through September 30, 2025, or when a new Contract is executed, whichever comes first,
at which time Contract No. 2020-041 shall terminate unless terminated sooner by either party in
accordance with the terms of the Contract.
ADOPTED BY THE CITY COUNCIL this 18th day of March, 2025.

Extension of Contract No. 2020-041
For
Air Service Development and Consulting Services
This Extension of the existing Contract No. 2020-041 entitled "Air Service Development and
Consulting Services," and entered into on March 18, 2020 (hereafter the"Contract")with Airplanners, LLC.
(hereafter"Contractor") is between the City of Yakima (hereafter the"City") and Contractor.
Whereas, the City entered into City Contract 2020-041 with Contractor for the purpose of providing
air service development and consulting services with service priority to include additional air service to and
from the Yakima Air Terminal-McAllister Field; and
Whereas, the original term of said Contract currently terminates on March 31, 2025; and
Whereas, Contractor has requested to extend current contract terms of an additional six(6) month
Contract term with the City; and
Whereas, both parties agree that contract extension would be mutually beneficial; and
Now, therefore, the City and Contractor agree to the following contract extension of the existing
Contract, under the conditions set forth:
The term of Contract No. 2020-041 is hereby extended for six-months from March 31,
2025, THROUGH September 30, 2025 or until Contract is terminated by either party in
accordance with the terms of the Contract.
Except as expressly modified herein, all other terms and conditions of the above-referenced
Contract No. 2020-041 between the City of Yakima and Airplanners LLC. shall remain in full force and
effect.

ITEM TITLE: Resolution authorizing a contract extension with Airplanners, LLC for
the purpose of air service development and consulting services for the
Yakima Air Terminal

SUMMARY EXPLANATION:
The City has an existing contract for air development and consultant services with Airplanners, LLC. to
promote and expand our current air services for the Yakima Air Terminal. This contract was a five-year
contract that expires on March 31, 2025. The Yakima Air Terminal would like to extend this contract for
six months to allow time for the development of a new solicitation, Request for Qualifications (RFQ)
#12512Q Air Service Development and Consulting Services, and negotiations of a new Contract.
ITEM BUDGETED: Yes
STRATEGIC PRIORITY 24-25: A Thriving Yakima
RECOMMENDATION: Adopt Resolution.
